DESCRIPTION

The biofilm method, like the activated sludge method, is an aerobic biological treatment method. However, the activated sludge method relies on the suspended and flowing activated sludge in the aeration tank to decompose organic matter, while the biofilm method mainly relies on the microbial film fixed on the surface of the carrier to purify organic matter. It has the advantages of high treatment efficiency, resistance to shock loads, stable operation, small sludge production and economic energy saving. The biofilm is an ecosystem composed of highly dense aerobic bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, facultative bacteria, fungi, protozoa and algae. The solid medium to which it is attached is called the carrier, which is the core part of the biofilm process.



How it works :

When Bio-Cord is manufactured, it leaves the factory with a slightly positive charge. Placed in water, it attracts microbes, which by nature have a slightly negative charge. The structure of the Bio-Cord also attracts the microbes. Because of this, Bio-Cord is the choice media for microorganisms to live and grow on. The microbes adhere to the threads and perform biodegradation. This is done in a three-step process including an anaerobic step for optimum solids removal (instantaneous breakdown).
