Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) is a sewage treatment system that purifies wastewater (or other water) by removing suspended matter (such as oil or solids).
It is a water treatment device that produces a large number of fine bubbles in the water through a dissolved air system, so that the air is attached to the suspended particles in the form of highly dispersed tiny bubbles, resulting in a state where the density is less than that of water, and the buoyancy principle is used to make it float on the water surface, thereby achieving solid-liquid separation.

Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) is a highly efficient flotation method for clarifying water. The term refers to a method that produces flotation by dissolving air in water under pressure and then releasing the pressure. When the pressure is released, the solution becomes supersaturated with air, as shown below as millions of small bubbles form. These bubbles attach to any particles in the water, causing their density to become less than that of water. The particles then quickly float to the surface to be cooled, extracted and removed, leaving clarified water.
